Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of experience working in a hospital admissions or billing setting
• Working knowledge of medical terminology
• Experience with insurance and hospital billing policies and procedures
• Comfortable spending extensive amounts of time on the phone with insurance companies

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for verifying patient insurance coverage, to ensure necessary procedures are covered by an individual’s provider
• Responsible for entering data in an accurate manner, updating patient benefit information in the organization’s insurance system and verify that existing information is accurate
