Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of experience working in a hospital admissions or billing setting
- Working knowledge of medical terminology
- Experience with insurance and hospital billing policies and procedures
- Comfortable spending extensive amounts of time on the phone with insurance companies
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for verifying patient insurance coverage, to ensure necessary procedures are covered by an individual’s provider
- Responsible for entering data in an accurate manner, updating patient benefit information in the organization’s insurance system and verify that existing information is accurate
